The Story There is a specific kind of magic in the Tennessee woods during late October. This photograph, captured near Manchester in 2022, represents that peak moment of transition. While the rest of the world feels like it’s cooling down, the forest here looks like it’s catching fire. I framed this shot to feel like a secret discovery—looking through the heavy, dark limbs of the foreground into a sun-drenched "cathedral" of glowing maples and oaks. The quiet shimmer of water at the center provides a cool anchor to the warmth of the autumn canopy.

The Maker’s Proof Every print that leaves my Colorado studio is handled with the personal care of a small-batch creator. I personally inspect each piece for color accuracy and detail to ensure the ambers and crimsons are as vivid as the day I saw them in the woods. Each print is hand-signed by me, serving as my personal guarantee that this piece meets the high standards of Nucla Studio.
